With cable, you get nearly 1,000 channels and anything good to watch. Having a DVR helps because you can keep a stash of shows that you like. But inevitably you end up flipping channels until settle for something mildly entertaining. I find this is particularly true in a relationship. What my wife and I can agree on is rarely the channel that either of us would watch if we were on our own. We’re left with a compromise program than neither of us are particularly invested in.
